Our Mission
Ho'omau's mission is to help and provide a feeling of relief to the Lahania fire victims. I will be creating different boxes that will apply to all different groups to help provide items they might need for hygiene, stress relief, and more. Then I will also be writing and informing my audience about Native Hawaiians. This will help everyone understand our culture, how to be respectful whether you live in or are visiting Hawai'i, and better understand some struggles they may face.
About me
Hi, my name is Lizzy Ilac, and I’m a senior at Osceola High School. Throughout my time in school, I have participated in various extra-curriculars, including Cheerleading, FFA, Empty Bowls, Mental health matters, and church mission trips. I love helping people and making an impact. With this project, I want to help and make a difference for people who are affected by the Maui fires and create awareness of the native Hawaiian culture. I hope to make candles and sell them to make boxes to send to families who were affected by the fires.
